Financial Planning Program Financing OptionsEmory’s Financial Planning Certificate Program focuses on the quality of your education, but we also understand your need for an affordable professional training program. The cost of our program is $5995, which includes tuition, access to our online learning modules, a framed graduation certificate, and all textbooks and materials. Emory offers two forms of assistance to help you finance the cost of our program: Please note that our professional programs are considered non-credit adult continuing education (at a private university). As such, they are not eligible for funding through most state programs including the HOPE Scholarship/Grant, or most federal programs including the Pell Grant, Stafford Loan, Perkins Loan, GI Bill, Veterans Affairs funding, or any program requiring a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Sallie Mae LoansEmory University may be able to assist you in acquiring a loan from Sallie Mae for the Financial Planning Certificate Program. The Sallie Mae website is located at www.salliemae.com/cel. To apply online for a continuing education loan with Sallie Mae, you will need the following information:
Please Read: Important Reasons to Consider a Co-Borrower NOTE: Some programs sell out weeks before the start date. If you plan to apply for a Sallie Mae loan, begin your application early to allow adequate processing time. Students choosing Sallie Mae as their lending institution should apply for the "Continuing Education Loan" which is one of their "Career Training" loans. Please do not apply for the "Signature Student Loan" as this is for degree-seeking students. We are unable to finalize your registration in the program until payment is received or formal arrangements have been finalized for your loan. (This means all 3 parties have approved and signed off on your loan - you (and your co-borrower, if applicable), your lending institution (e.g. Sallie Mae), and Emory University. Promissory Note Payment ProgramEmory University offers registrants in our Financial Planning Certificate Program the opportunity to submit tuition payment in two installments – half due at the beginning, and the remainder due at the mid-point of the course. Students choosing this option sign a contract directly with Emory’s Center for Lifelong Learning for a $100 fee, which is divided between the two payments. Click here to view and print the promissory note. Note: The promissory note must be submitted along with the completed registration form for consideration. Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP® and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements. Emory University does not certify individuals to use the CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® and federally registered certification marks. CFP® certification is granted only by Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. to those persons who, in addition to completing an educational requirement such as this CFP Board-Registered Program, have met its ethics, experience and examination requirements. Emory University is a CFP Board approved educational institution providing the instruction leading up to the CFP® Certification Examination. It does not determine individuals eligibility, qualification, or any other condition required to acquiring and maintaining the CFP® Certification. Emory University is not responsible for information beyond the education program it offers. Individuals must contact CFP Board at http://www.cfp.net for all matters regarding the acquiring and maintaining of the CFP® Certification. |
