Evening at Emory - Writer's Studio

Designed to motivate and inspire, this class is a one-day self-help session for procrastinating travel writers. It will provide guidance to help you get ahead in the new world of travel writing. We'll discuss the key elements to any travel story, review tactics that can boost your storytelling from "good" to "superb" -- and explore the mysteries of multi-platform expression, crucial to travel writing success in the 21st century. Students will do a few in-class writing exercises with impromptu reviews. Those desiring more practice may also choose to become "pen pals" and a follow-up plan will be provided.
