SHRM POWER BREAKFASTS - ECL and the Atlanta chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) recently united for two “power” breakfasts:
- January 27th, 2009. The theme for the event was The Evolving Workforce Mosaic, which included topics like Managing Multi-Generations, The U.S. Latino – A Multicultural Phenomenon, and others. The presenters were Dr. Gary Cruze, Lily Winsaft, Vicki Flier-Hudson, and Michael Shutt.
- May 19, 2009. The theme was Ethical Engagement & the Role of HR Leaders, which included a panel discussion featuring Tom Crawford, insurance industry leader; Jacqueline Welch, Senior VP of Talent Management, Diversity & Development for Turner; and Dr. Edward Queen, Director, Program in Ethics & Servant Leadership at the Emory Center for Ethics.
NEW RELATIONSHIP WITH EMORY EMPLOYEE COUNCIL – Emory Corporate Learning provided a number of Lunch ‘n Learn training workshops during the 2008-2009 academic year to support the theme Communication in Community
Workshop topics included interpersonal communication, international communication, phone etiquette, public speaking, email etiquette, and professionalism. All of these training topics can be delivered onsite to corporate clients.
