Designed for aspiring writers, our Creative Writing Certificate provides individualized guidance from experienced instructors who are published in a variety of genres. Instructors and guest speakers are active professionals who are recognized for their achievements.
How does the program work?
The program curriculum provides core courses for strong foundational knowledge and electives allowing you to specialize in several different genres. Courses are offered throughout the year for your convenience. Prior to acceptance in the program, students will be required to pay an application fee and submit a body of work for review. Upon successful completion of all coursework, students will complete a final writing project to receive their certificate. Courses are open enrollment and credit for previous coursework may apply.
Who should enroll?
Aspiring writers who are ready to make a concerted, focused effort to refining their vision, finding their own voice as a writer, and improving or completing their work are ideal candidates for the certificate program.
