Biography
In the early seventies, Julius Thompson was a copy boy with The New York Times where he wrote freelance articles. From 1971 to 1982, Thompson was a full-time sportswriter with The Philadelphia Bulletin. In 1977, Thompson won the Associated Press Sports Editors Award, given for the third-best sports story written that year. In 1987 Thompson moved to the Atlanta area where he resides to this day, teaching British Literature, American Literature and Creative Writing to high school students. In 2001 Thompson published A Brownstone in Brooklyn, the first installment of the Julius Thompson Trilogy. The second book, Philly Style and Philly Profile, was published in 2007. The third, The Ghost of Atlanta, is in the editing stage of production and will be ready for publication in 2009.

Interesting/Humourous Teaching Experience
Knowing that I've made a difference in a young person's life is the most rewarding feeling. When I helped a young lady pass a state high school test after she failed it three times, the smile on her face was priceless.
