Hands- On Learning
Emory’s Web Certificate programs are not lecture classes. Each course is carefully designed to provide time for students to learn AND practice the real-world web design and development skills they are gaining. In addition to in-class time, students are expected to spend several hours each week reviewing new material and working independently.

 Emory University maintains rigorous academic standards in our selection of instructors. Each of our instructors have proven teaching ability and superior knowledge of their subject matter. We are an Adobe Authorized Training Center (AATC) and our instructors are Adobe Certified Instructors (ACI). In addition to learning the ins and outs of software tools used in designing and creating websites, participants in the certificate program benefit from our instructor's wealth of real-world web design and development experience.
Valuable Capstone Course
Earning a web certificate requires the completion of an appropriate website project during the Capstone course. This project reinforces concepts learned in the classroom and provides students with valuable development experience. Upon completing the certificate program, students will have created a professional website that may serve as the basis for a professional portfolio.
Convenient Format
Participants may take their design and development classes at times that are convenient for them. Our flexible, open enrollment format allows participants one year to complete all required classes in the certificate, and each class is offered several times every year. Classes are offered during the day, in the evenings and on weekends to accommodate our busy lifestyles.
Flexibility and Choice
Our program allows students to select a particular track of interest. All certification candidates
complete a set of core classes for either the web development or web design certificate and then specialize by completing
electives related to their chosen track. Available tracks include Web designer, E-commerce developer, Webmaster, Multimedia specialist, Open-source developer, and Microsoft developer. |
