Paralegal Certificate Overview
The Paralegal Certificate Program is a non-credit certificate program offered by Emory University's Professional Learning Programs. Admission into the program requires a 4-year undergraduate degree.

- We offer four distinct schedule formats:
- 6 to 9 pm, Tuesday and Thursday evenings
- 9 am to 4 pm, Saturday with an hour lunch
- 9 am to 4 pm, Friday with an hour lunch
- 9 am to 4 pm, Monday with an hour lunch
- This program is held in Atlanta, Georgia, at Emory University
- Successful graduates receive a framed Emory University Certificate
Overview
Our program consists of two parts: A Fundamentals and Core Paralegal Skills course and Topics courses such as Torts, Georgia Practices and Procedures, and Contract Law. The Core Program consists of approximately 60 instructional hours while the Topics courses each consist of approximately 18-21 hours.
Emory’s Paralegal Certificate provides paralegal-specific training. Our program can be completed in approximately 6 months because it focuses on developing core, practical paralegal skills. We encourage you to review our curriculum and share it with attorneys or practicing paralegals. You will find it to be a thorough and challenging curriculum that will prepare you to work as an elite paralegal professional.
