Emory Paralegal Certificate Program Details


The Paralegal Certificate Program is a non-credit certificate program offered by Emory University's Professional Learning Programs. Admission into the program requires a 4-year undergraduate degree.

Paralegal Program Schedule Formats

We offer four distinct certificate formats, but all are designed for working professionals with full-time jobs. Our paralegal program schedules allow you to earn your certificate in six months without interrupting your busy life. Below are the options we offer:

  • Monday and Wednesday evenings, 6 to 9pm
  • Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6 to 9pm
  • Saturdays, 9am to 4pm, with an hour for lunch
  • Fridays, 9am to 4pm, with an hour for lunch
  • Mondays, 9am to 4pm, with an hour for lunch

Paralegal Program Curriculum

The Emory University Paralegal Certificate Program is a skill-based educational experience. Our paralegal curriculum is designed to qualify you for employment and to prepare you for the real-world situations you will face in the paralegal profession. Practical skills and experience are the factors that will both get you hired and make you an excellent paralegal! Paralegal Learning Components

Our program utilizes three learning components in order to provide you with a well-rounded paralegal education.

  • Classroom learning
  • Online exams
  • Independent study

Earning Your Certificate

There are three parts to earning your Emory Paralegal Certificate. In order to do so, students must:

  • Successfully complete all six core modules of the program with a score of 70% or better in each class.
  • Achieve a score of 75% or better in the overall program.

NOTE: Class projects and exams, including a comprehensive final, are administered.

Cost

The program cost is $5995, which includes tuition, one year access to the Westlaw legal research database, and all textbooks and materials.
