Inclement Weather Policy for Tennis and Golf Classes
Golf Class Policy
In case of inclement weather, Evening at Emory’s policy is that the student is asked to call the Charlie Yates Golf Course two (2) hours prior to the start of the class, in which a decision about the class will be given to the student over the phone. The number for the Charlie Yates Golf Course is (404) 373.4655.
Tennis Class Policy
Due to the unpredictable nature of weather, Evening at Emory may need to cancel a session of a tennis class that meets on an outdoor court. In case of inclement weather, the instructor will decide if that day’s session is cancelled. The instructor will notify the Student Activity & Academic Center (SAAC) if the course is cancelled. In case of inclement weather, students should call the course instructors Chris Anderson @ 404.374.7626 and Angelo @ 678 231 7394 or the SAAC @ 404 712-2430 to see if the class is meeting.
If a class cancellation is necessary, students are given two opportunities to make up the class:
- A make-up class will be offered for all students. Students should make every effort to attend this class.
- If a student cannot attend the make-up class, s/he has the opportunity to attend a session of another tennis class, either during the same quarter or the successive quarter. The student should notify Evening at Emory of this decision as soon as possible so that appropriate accommodations can be made.
Thank you for your continued participation in the Evening at Emory program. If you have any questions, please contact us at 404.727.6000 or evening@emory.edu.
