Flexible/Convenient Format

Emory's Essentials of Human Resource Management Certificate is formatted with working professionals in mind. Classes are scheduled in the evenings with an accelerated format, allowing you to complete the certificate quickly and without interrupting your busy life. Elective courses for the program can be scheduled at your own convenience, as long as you complete the requirements for the certificate within one year of your first class.


Certificate Requirements


Participants must complete the core modules and four of the nine elective courses listed below. If an elective course has a prerequisite, then the prerequisite course must be completed first. If their work and personal schedules permit, participants may take core and elective courses concurrently. The certificate program must be completed within one year of enrollment.

1) Core Modules

Candidates must complete the core course with a total of 24 hours.  These include the SHRM curriculum and are registered for as an entire course containing the following modules:

2) Emory Essentials of Human Resource Management Electives*

Candidates must complete 24 or more elective hours - four 6-hour courses.
